Valheim is Iron Gate AB's Viking survival game, published by Coffee Stain Publishing. One to ten players wake in a procedurally generated tenth world inspired by Norse myth, raise halls, cook for health and stamina, sail longships, and hunt regional bosses called the Forsaken to prove themselves to Odin. Version 1.0 left Steam Early Access on 9 September 2026 with the Deep North biome, fifty-three Steam achievements, and storefronts that now include PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Use this hub to pick a task: land in the Meadows, read biome order, hunt the eight Forsaken, or check 1.0 price and crossplay.

The tenth world after 1.0

Steam about copy frames Valheim as exploration and survival for one to ten players in a procedurally generated world. Vikings sail, build halls, cook, and slay the Forsaken. The 1.0 community post on 9 September 2026 ships Deep North as the last named biome in that loop, with more than forty weapons, ten-plus creatures, and eighty-plus build pieces in the same notes. Early Access began on 2 February 2021; 1.0 is the day the tenth world left that branch.

Iron Gate's FAQ still treats Meadows as the intended landing even after Deep North unlocks. Old worlds keep working. New biome generation only fills unexplored map. The studio recommends a fresh start if you want Deep North laid out as a new voyage rather than patched onto a finished seed. Food remains a health and stamina boon, not a hunger clock that punishes you for skipping meals.

Crossplay is on across the listed 1.0 storefronts. Save sync is narrower: Xbox to Microsoft Store PC only. Typical download size is about 4.3 GiB, with Xbox One around 3.0 GiB and Mac App Store plus Microsoft Store around 6.5 GiB. The listed price is $29.99 with regional differences; Early Access owners keep their copy.

Pick a Viking task from this hub

Start on Valheim beginner guide if you have just spawned. That page walks the first nights, a first house, and Eikthyr, then points you at Black Forest. Valheim biomes lists nine named regions from Meadows through Deep North plus Ocean, with the Forsaken that gate each land biome. Valheim bosses names all eight bosses Steam lists as achievement rows, including Kall Fimbulbringer.

Building, stations, food, and ships are split so each URL owns one job. Valheim building covers halls, integrity, and comfort 20. Valheim crafting names Workbench through Frost Foundry, Haldor pocket upgrades, and the hidden Forge of Potential. Valheim food is the 1.0 dish list plus the rule that meals buff combat instead of acting as a starvation meter. Valheim longship is sailing, ice, and the Sailor and Captain grinds.

Valheim creatures is the 1.0 fauna list plus screenshot-attested Seekers, lox, and Abominations. Valheim achievements filters all fifty-three Steam rows added at 1.0. Valheim 1.0 holds platforms, price, and the version timeline. Valheim FAQ repeats Iron Gate's answers on saves, cheats, mods, and Ocean. Valheim glossary locks Forsaken, Deep North, and local product names.

Forsaken bosses still gate the map

Official store text gates progress by defeating the Forsaken. Steam achievements name Eikthyr, The Elder, Bonemass, Moder, Yagluth, The Seeker Queen, Fader, and Kall Fimbulbringer. Several of those rows stay hidden on the public community page, so the roster shows the Steam name and biome pairing rather than guessed summon items or hit points.

Biome order on the board runs Meadows, Black Forest, Swamp, Mountain, Plains, Mistlands, Ashlands, then Deep North, with Ocean as the sea biome that 1.0 does not focus on. Each land biome except Ocean has a Forsaken in the research table. Deep North's boss row is Kall Fimbulbringer, named in the 1.0 patch notes and on Steam.

If you already beat older bosses on an Early Access character, achievements still start tracking at the 1.0 download. The FAQ says killing Eikthyr again is required for that trophy on an old Viking. Most cheat commands permanently lock a character and world out of achievements; spawned items create a temporary cheat state instead of that permanent flag.

Trailer, stills, and the 1.0 storefronts

The trailer here is Iron Gate's Valheim: 1.0 Out Now upload, YouTube id gsSWz6sfu-U, the same clip Steam news embeds. A dated reveal trailer (eWULkdcaR5o) lives on the 1.0 platforms page, keeping a second video off the hub. Stills here are Steam screenshots and library art bound to this route: a moose ride under aurora, a troll in pines, Haldor's hall throne, the library hero, the 1.0 header, and the capsule campfire.

Buy links belong on Valheim 1.0: Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux; Xbox One and Series; PlayStation 5; Nintendo Switch 2; Mac App Store; Humble Store. The soundtrack is a separate Steam app, 1620250. Full controller support including DualShock and DualSense is listed on Steam.

Community wikis such as the weirdgloop Valheim Wiki still hold thousands of item stubs. Named 1.0 systems Iron Gate published stay in focus here: biomes, Forsaken, halls, stations, food, ships, fauna, achievements, and storefronts. When a number is missing from those notes, the article stays short rather than inventing a table.
